Data from the China Automobile Dealers Association indicates that during the first half of 2025, the 4S dealership network in China kept undergoing optimization and adjustment. By the end of June, the nation was home to roughly 32,000 4S dealerships, marking a 1.9% decline compared to the end of 2024. This reflects an overall contraction trend in the industry. When it comes to brands, the 4S dealership network of domestic brands witnessed its first-ever contraction. Meanwhile, the contraction in the 4S dealership network of joint-venture brands became less severe. Luxury brands' 4S dealership networks continued to shrink. In contrast, the 4S dealership network of new energy vehicle brands bucked the trend and expanded, albeit at a notably slower pace compared to before.
