On September 23, Changan Automobile announced on the investor interaction platform that it has set up an Advanced Battery Research Institute. The aim of this institute is to pool industry resources and accelerate the development of next-generation batteries. Currently, the research and development (R&D) of solid-state batteries are in full gear. The company expects to conduct on-vehicle verification by 2026 and gradually move towards mass production by 2027, with an anticipated energy density of 400Wh/kg.
