According to the most recent data released by the Passenger Car Association, CATL continues to hold its position as the frontrunner in the global power battery sector. Nevertheless, its market share has dipped to the lowest point in the past five years. Between 2020 and 2021, CATL's market share soared above 50%. However, in the third quarter of 2025, it plummeted to 41.7%, representing the most significant drop in nearly three years, at a rate of -3.9%.

Concurrently, BYD's FinDreams Battery also experienced a contraction in its market share. By the third quarter of 2025, it had decreased to 21.4%, showing a 0.9% decline over the preceding three years. In stark contrast, the market shares of other leading manufacturers within the TOP 10, such as CALB, Gotion High-Tech, and EVE Energy, all witnessed an upward trajectory.
