On September 17, Sheng Qiuping, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over a symposium focused on the growth of the automotive aftermarket and the reform of automotive circulation and consumption patterns. The symposium gathered representatives from 17 diverse entities, including local governments, businesses, industry associations, and research organizations. The discussions centered around several key topics, such as vehicle customization, RV (recreational vehicle) camping, auto racing, traditional classic cars, and automobile museums.
Sheng Qiuping emphasized that the Ministry of Commerce is proactively addressing the Special Action Plan for Boosting Consumption, as issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council. The ministry is driving forward pilot reforms in automotive circulation and consumption, and is encouraging qualified cities to deepen their reforms and foster innovation in line with their specific circumstances. This approach aims to invigorate the consumption vitality within the automotive aftermarket.
Looking ahead, the Ministry of Commerce is set to work closely with relevant departments to dismantle restrictive measures within the automotive aftermarket's consumption sector. This collaborative effort is geared towards further unlocking the vast consumption potential that lies within this dynamic market.
