As per CATL's official announcement, on September 18, Li Auto and CATL inked a five-year comprehensive strategic cooperation pact and held a ceremony to mark the occasion. Present at the event were Li Xiang, Chairman and CEO of Li Auto; Ma Donghui, President of Li Auto; Zeng Yuqun, Chairman and CEO of CATL; and Han Wei, Co-President of CATL's Market System. The agreement was signed on behalf of both entities in Ningde by Meng Qingpeng, Vice President of Supply Chain at Li Auto, and Wang Hui, Vice President of Domestic Passenger Vehicles at CATL.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will embark on profound collaboration in domains such as battery safety and ultra-fast charging technology, with a shared vision of driving battery technology innovation and expanding their global footprint. CATL is set to supply power battery systems for the entirety of Li Auto's product lineup, encompassing ternary lithium batteries, M3P batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries, and sodium-ion batteries.

To date, the cumulative delivery volume of Li Auto vehicles outfitted with CATL batteries has surpassed the 1 million mark, with not a single instance of thermal runaway attributed to the batteries themselves.
