Today, the State Administration for Market Regulation released a notice indicating that Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. has initiated a recall of more than 110,000 Xiaomi SU7 standard - version electric vehicles. The root cause of this recall lies in the potential shortcomings of the L2 highway pilot - assist driving function. Specifically, under certain conditions, this function may not adequately recognize, warn about, or handle extreme driving scenarios. In the absence of timely driver intervention, this could elevate the risk of a collision, thereby presenting a safety risk. To rectify this issue, Xiaomi Automobile will conduct a complimentary software upgrade for the recalled vehicles through OTA (Over - the - Air) technology, effectively eliminating the hazard.
