On September 13, during the 2025 Taida Auto Forum, He Xianqing, the Deputy General Manager of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., announced that GAC Group is set to concentrate its efforts on the research and development of an end-to-end large model framework grounded in generative AI. This strategic move aims to propel the company further into the realm of intelligent driving and foster stronger collaborative ties with tech firms.
In the pursuit of low-carbon electrification, GAC Group is directing its attention towards mastering the core technologies of the 'three electric' systems—namely, batteries, integrated electric drives, and related components—thereby expediting its in-house research and production capabilities. He Xianqing disclosed that the group's R&D endeavors will particularly emphasize the creation of a new generation of high-energy-density batteries and electric drive controllers. The ambition is to see these cutting-edge battery cells integrated into vehicles by the year 2027.
