Recently, the CCTV program "Economic Half-Hour" carried out a thorough investigation into the prevalence of "black public relations" (Black PR) within the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector. Black PR and online mercenaries employ sophisticated technical methods to generate and disseminate a flood of false rumors, aiming to maliciously tarnish corporate brands. Their tactics include overwhelming comment sections with negative posts, thereby significantly disrupting the market order.

On September 10th, six government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, jointly initiated a three-month special campaign to rectify these issues. The campaign focuses on combating illegal profit-seeking activities, exaggerated and false advertising, as well as malicious slander and attacks. Authorities have mandated online platforms to enhance their identification and management of AI-driven online mercenaries. Additionally, they have called on enterprises to standardize their marketing and publicity practices, with the shared goal of fostering a transparent and healthy industrial environment.
