Eight key departments, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have jointly issued the "Work Plan for Steady Growth in the Automotive Industry (2025–2026)." This initiative aims to meticulously regulate the competitive landscape within the automotive sector. Aligned with the directives from the State Council executive meeting, the plan underscores the imperative for holistic strategies to foster an environment of fair and orderly competition.
Key measures outlined in the plan encompass a robust framework for cost and price surveillance, a heightened focus on ensuring product production consistency through stringent supervision, and a call for major automotive firms to honor their payment term commitments diligently. To facilitate this, a dedicated "Feedback Mechanism for Issues (and Suggestions) Concerning Major Automotive Companies' Adherence to Payment Terms" will be established. This platform will serve as a conduit for suppliers to voice their concerns, which will then be systematically addressed and resolved. Furthermore, the plan advocates for industry bodies to devise standardized payment term guidelines for suppliers from complete vehicle manufacturers.
In addition to these efforts, the plan also addresses the need to tackle online irregularities in the automotive industry. This includes regulating the dissemination of data and information, cracking down on deceptive advertising practices, and combating commercial defamation. Through these measures, the plan endeavors to cultivate a wholesome and orderly market ecosystem.
