Recently, eight departments, such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, have jointly rolled out the Work Plan for Sustained Growth in the Automotive Industry (2025–2026). This plan puts forward a series of measures aimed at regulating the competitive landscape within the automotive sector. These measures encompass:
- Ramping up cost surveys and price monitoring efforts;
- Tightening supervision and inspection regarding the consistency of product production;
- Pressing key automobile firms to honor their commitments concerning payment terms;
- Maximizing the utility of the 'Window for Reporting Issues (Suggestions) on Key Automobile Companies' Adherence to Payment Term Commitments';
- Formulating guidelines for the payment of accounts from complete vehicle manufacturers to their suppliers;
- Carrying out special campaigns to rectify online irregularities in the automotive industry;
- Taking stringent action against false advertising, commercial defamation, and other forms of misconduct to foster a robust and orderly market environment.
