Zhaoqing Xiaopeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has submitted a recall proposal. Commencing on September 15, 2025, the company will carry out a recall of specific Xiaopeng P7+ vehicles. These vehicles were manufactured from August 20, 2024, to April 27, 2025, with a total number of 47,490 units affected. The root cause of this recall lies in a problem of poor contact within the sensor wiring harness of the steering assist motor in some of these vehicles. This issue has the potential to result in steering malfunction and a loss of power - assisted steering, thereby creating a safety risk. To address this concern and eliminate the hazard, the company will offer a free - of - charge replacement of the steering gear assembly with an upgraded version for all the vehicles included in the recall.
