Starting today, NIO is rolling out dynamic test drives for its new ES8 model at stores across multiple locations nationwide. Pre-sales for this vehicle kicked off on August 21, with an official launch and delivery slated for September 20. Positioned as a full-scenario tech flagship SUV, the new ES8 stands as the largest pure electric SUV on the Chinese market, boasting three distinct model options. The pre-sale price for purchasing the complete vehicle ranges from 416,800 to 456,800 yuan, whereas opting for the battery leasing scheme brings the price down to between 308,800 and 348,800 yuan.
In terms of aesthetics, the ES8 offers six exterior color choices and four interior color options. It features a length of 5,280mm and a wheelbase of 3,130mm, and is outfitted with 31 high-performance sensing hardware components. The interior is designed with spaciousness in mind, with the shoulder room in the third row ranking top in its category. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with three zero-gravity seats, each complete with leg rests.
The powertrain of the ES8 is built upon a full-range 900V high-voltage architecture, enabling it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 3.97 seconds and achieve a CLTC range of up to 635km. The vehicle is also equipped with the Shenxing Intelligent Chassis, which debuts functions such as the Intelligent Wetland Mode and Intelligent Guard Mode. At its hardware core, the ES8 utilizes a combination of the self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip and the Qualcomm 8295 chip, complemented by multiple safety configurations.
