BYD's Executive Vice President, He Zhiqi, unveiled a cutting-edge 9,000-ton mega die-casting production line. This innovative system seamlessly integrates the welding of 74 stamped components for both the front and rear cabin floors into a single, large-scale die-cast aluminum part. Notably, the equipment has been fully localized, featuring domestically produced molds and achieving complete automation. Zhao Changjiang, General Manager of the Direct Sales Business Division at Denza New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd., emphasized that mega die-casting marks a groundbreaking technological shift in automotive manufacturing, poised to revolutionize production paradigms and significantly boost efficiency. Previously, Xiaomi had showcased its 9,100-ton super mega die-casting system, and Seres's state-of-the-art factory had also commenced operations, boasting a production line equipped with a 9,000-ton die-casting machine. Furthermore, Dongfeng Motor Corporation has completed its integrated die-casting industrialization project ahead of schedule, featuring dual production lines with capacities of 16,000 tons and 10,000 tons, respectively. This development is set to further elevate production capacity and streamline efficiency.
