The 2025 German International Automotive and Intelligent Mobility Expo (IAA Mobility 2025) is set to run from September 8 to 14 at the Munich Exhibition Center. Hosted by the German Association of the Automotive Industry, this biennial exposition, which can trace its origins all the way back to 1897, has evolved into a world-class stage that showcases passenger cars, new energy innovations, and digital services. At this year's expo, Qualcomm and BMW Group made a joint announcement, introducing the Snapdragon Ride Pilot driving assistance system. This system, the result of three years of collaborative development, is constructed on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride system-on-chip and integrates a driving assistance software stack that was co-created by both companies. The Snapdragon Ride Pilot makes its grand entrance in the brand-new BMW iX3, the inaugural mass-produced model from BMW's latest generation. The system is capable of supporting a broad spectrum of functions, ranging from meeting the basic entry-level New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) standards to enabling L2-level and above highway and urban navigation-assisted driving. Qualcomm Technologies is now offering this system to automakers and Tier 1 suppliers worldwide.
