On Thursday, Tesla made a significant announcement: its Robotaxi app has now been made accessible to the general public. Remarkably, within just two hours of the app's launch, an X (previously known as Twitter) user managed to book and experience a ride. Presently, these autonomous vehicles are still being monitored by safety drivers as a precautionary measure. However, Musk clarified that this is merely a temporary arrangement, with plans to completely eliminate the need for safety drivers by the end of the current year, aligning with Tesla's vision for fully autonomous transportation.
