The majority of these stations are situated in public areas, where the lack of overnight supervision provides thieves with a window of opportunity. Despite the fact that the copper in the stolen cables is valued at merely 40 euros, operators incur significant repair expenses and face a two-week downtime before operations can resume. In an attempt to address this challenge, operators have bolstered video surveillance and enhanced theft detection rates through software updates.
