Toyota Achieves Seventh Straight Month of Sales Records in US and China

Toyota Motor Corporation established new benchmarks in production and sales for the seventh consecutive month in July. The company revealed on Thursday that its global sales, inclusive of those from its subsidiaries Daihatsu and Hino, surged by 4% year-on-year, reaching a total of 963,796 units. Despite a 2% dip in sales within Japan, overseas markets experienced a robust 6% growth. Notably, the North American market thrived, with sales of Toyota and Lexus brands leaping by 20% year-on-year, fueled by a surging demand for trucks, SUVs, and gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles. Similarly, the Chinese market also witnessed a positive trend, with sales increasing by 5.7% year-on-year.
