On August 15, the Wuxing District Converged Media Center announced that Leapmotor's power battery pack project situated in Wuxing, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, is gaining momentum. Liu Zhiqiang, the director of the Huzhou Battery Plant, revealed that the project has reached a pivotal point, racing towards initial production. Currently, four production lines are undergoing on-site debugging, with full-scale production anticipated to commence in September. Initiated in February of this year, the project boasts a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. It is designed to encompass eight automotive power battery production lines and four power supply production lines, capable of producing 384,000 automotive batteries and 720,000 power supplies annually upon reaching full capacity.
