Recently, ride-hailing giants like Didi Chuxing, T3 Chuxing, and Caocao Chuxing have jointly announced a reduction in their commission rates, aiming to safeguard the rights and interests of drivers. Didi Chuxing has lowered the maximum commission cap per order from 29% to 27%, and for drivers completing over 50 orders monthly, it guarantees, through its "Commission Refund Program," that their average monthly commission cap will not exceed 25%. T3 Chuxing and Caocao Chuxing have similarly adjusted their commission caps to 27% and 22.5%, respectively.
Despite these measures, some drivers have remained indifferent, arguing that the unit price, rather than the commission rate, is the fundamental determinant of their income. Furthermore, they point out that the issue of multi-tiered commissions persists. Hence, whether these changes will truly benefit drivers remains uncertain and warrants further observation.
