According to the latest manufacturer survey data released on August 23, leading automakers in the market have set retail sales targets for this month that indicate a monthly increase of approximately 5% and a slight annual increase. Narrowly defined passenger vehicle retail sales are anticipated to total around 1.94 million units, marking a 6.2% month-over-month rise and a 2.0% year-over-year increase. Notably, sales of new energy vehicles are projected to surpass 1.1 million units, with a penetration rate anticipated to reach a new peak of 56.7%.
