On August 22, the National Energy Administration unveiled data revealing that by the conclusion of July 2025, the total count of electric vehicle charging stations in China had soared to 16.696 million, registering a robust 53% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, public charging stations accounted for 4.202 million, experiencing a 38% year-on-year growth, while private charging facilities jumped to 12.494 million, exhibiting an even more significant 58.8% increase over the same period.
