The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy of South Korea announced on Tuesday that the nation's auto exports surged 8.8% year-on-year (YoY) to reach $5.83 billion in July, marking the second consecutive month of growth. This uptick was primarily fueled by a robust increase in exports to Europe, with shipments to the European Union (EU) skyrocketing by 32.7%, effectively mitigating the impact of the ongoing decline in exports to the United States due to American tariff policies. Despite exports to the US declining for five straight months, the year-on-year drop in July moderated to 4.6%.
