On August 18, the "60-day payment term" pledge made by 17 leading automakers underwent its maiden test. According to research, the endeavor to reform payment terms within the automotive supply chain has achieved preliminary success, with some suppliers reporting timely payments and many others receiving favorable responses from automakers. Nonetheless, the majority of small and medium-sized suppliers assert that the automakers' commitment to the 60-day payment term has yet to be genuinely implemented.
