On August 14, Cui Dongshu, the Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association, unveiled data indicating that from January to July 2025, the cumulative sales of automobiles totaled 18.18 million units, marking an 11% increase year-on-year. Specifically, July sales amounted to 2.57 million units, a 14.1% year-on-year rise. Nevertheless, passenger car sales in July witnessed a notable decline from the previous month. Analysts attributed the growth observed in the first half of the year primarily to policy subsidies, suggesting that the July downturn is a logical phenomenon.
