GAC Group to Inject Additional 600 Million Yuan into Huawei Automobile, Unveiling First Model in 2026

On August 13, the Board of Directors of GAC Group approved a proposal authorizing its holding subsidiary, GAC AION New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., to invest an additional 600 million yuan into Huawei Automobile Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. Upon the completion of this capital increase, GAC Group will directly hold a 71.43% equity stake in Huawei Automobile and indirectly own the remaining 28.57% through GAC AION. Huawei Automobile represents a collaborative effort between GAC and Huawei to establish an autonomous high-end intelligent automotive brand, with its inaugural model anticipated to hit the market in 2026.
