Recently, the Yilong Emergency Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) successfully executed early warning reconnaissance, disaster assessment, and emergency command communication missions both before and after Typhoon "Wipa" hit Guangdong. This groundbreaking achievement marks the inaugural utilization of a large fixed-wing UAV for typhoon early warning reconnaissance in China. This mission revolutionized the emergency response paradigm, characterized by "racing against the typhoon and closely tracking its movements." The UAV adeptly adjusted its flight path, navigating through clouds and rain, to transmit reconnaissance data in real-time. This critical information facilitated the assessment of typhoon risks and the deployment of defense forces, while also ensuring stable public network signal coverage in the aftermath of the disaster.
