In recent months, Apple has issued warnings to over ten Iranian users, alerting them that their iPhones have been targeted by government spyware attacks, according to security researchers. The Miaan Group, an Iranian digital rights organization, and Hamid Kashfi, a Swedish-Iranian cybersecurity expert, have both confirmed that they have been in communication with some of these Iranian users who received the warnings last year. These users have indicated that their devices might be under government surveillance through spyware.
