To ensure the security of user data, electronic product manufacturers are now required to incorporate a built-in one-click information erasure function. The new standard specifies that mobile phones, tablets, and solid-state drives must overwrite data at least twice, while mechanical hard drives must overwrite data no fewer than three times. Recycling operators are tasked with verifying data erasure, prohibiting the resale or export of unprocessed equipment, and implementing a traceability code system to facilitate user inquiries. The scope of this erasure encompasses user data including applications, media files, cache, backups, system configurations, NFC-bound cards, and encryption keys.
