Garmin has made an exciting announcement: the majority of its smartwatches now support the seamless integration of the Google Maps app, at no additional cost. This app enhances users' experience by providing them with real-time information on the location and distance to the next turn, whether they are walking, cycling, or running. It's important to note, however, that unlike the extensive features of Google Maps on Wear OS, which enable destination searching and navigation independent of a smartphone, the Garmin smartwatch version of Google Maps offers a more streamlined set of functions, aligning more closely with the Google Maps experience on Apple Watch.
