The American gaming giant, Epic Games, has decided to drop its antitrust lawsuit against Samsung Electronics. Initially, Epic accused Samsung of unfairly restricting users from downloading software from sources other than Google's and Samsung's app stores by default on its mobile devices. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, announced that following discussions between the two companies, Samsung has addressed Epic's concerns. The lawsuit, which was initiated last year, marks a step back for Epic in its legal battle, but the company intends to persist in its dispute with Google over similar issues.
