On Monday, Apple petitioned the U.S. Court of Appeals to reverse a decision that mandates the disabling of the blood oxygen monitoring feature on the Apple Watch. The tech giant contended that such a move would adversely impact millions of users and asserted that the ruling was unjust. Medical technology company Masimo had filed a lawsuit, alleging that Apple was attempting to safeguard its products through legal maneuvering. Reuters reported that the presiding judge raised questions regarding whether Masimo's competitive devices, which had not yet been developed at the time, actually met the criteria of the ruling.
