Recently, prominent brands such as Romoss and Anker have recalled over 1.2 million power bank products due to serious battery cell safety concerns. According to CCTV reports, the issue lies with the lithium batteries used in these power banks. Consequently, the Civil Aviation Administration has issued an urgent notice prohibiting passengers from carrying power banks lacking CCC certification marks or belonging to recalled models on domestic flights. The brand leader of Romoss Technology Co., Ltd. clarified that the recall was necessitated by issues with some incoming battery cells from upstream suppliers, which could potentially lead to overheating or, in extreme cases, spontaneous combustion. At present, the involved enterprises are actively addressing the recall process.
