Recently, a fire incident occurred on the 13th floor of a residential building in Ruichang City, Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. Nearby residents promptly alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, firefighters conducted a thorough investigation, floor by floor, to pinpoint the source of the blaze. Upon entering the affected unit, the firefighters discovered that the bedroom mattress was ablaze and swiftly extinguished the flames.
Investigations revealed that the fire was sparked by a newly purchased phone charger left plugged in on the bed. A malfunction in the charging cable subsequently ignited the mattress. In light of this incident, the fire department urges all citizens to prioritize household electrical safety by ensuring that electrical devices are unplugged in a timely manner to prevent such hazards.
