According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market fell to 23.716 million units in May 2025, marking a year-on-year decrease of 21.8%. Notably, shipments of 5G mobile phones totaled 21.190 million units, representing a 17.0% decline from the previous year and accounting for 89.3% of the overall market share.
