Google has incorporated the "Real-Time Updates" feature in Android 16, prioritizing ongoing task notifications in prominent areas like the status bar. However, apps must secure specific permissions and adhere to regulations concerning format, style, and other aspects. At present, this feature supports only four notification templates: standard, big text, incoming call, and progress bar. Regrettably, media playback notifications are excluded as they utilize a dedicated "Media Style" template. Despite being technically viable, Google maintains that media playback does not align with its "time-sensitive" paradigm and hence has omitted it from the real-time update application scenarios.
