On July 2, it was reported that Apple's foldable iPhone has progressed to the P1 prototype development stage. The entire prototype process is anticipated to conclude by the end of 2025, with a potential market release penciled in for the second half of 2026. Conversely, the foldable iPad project has been put on hold due to challenges in producing components, notably panels, coupled with high costs and anticipated low market demand. Each prototype phase, including P1, spans roughly two months, leading up to the subsequent P2 and P3 stages.
