On June 24, 2025, Apple initiated legal proceedings in the Santa Clara County Superior Court, accusing its former engineer, Liu Di, of unlawfully obtaining and disseminating confidential design and development data related to the Apple Vision Pro headset to Snap. Liu Di, who had been with Apple for seven years and held the position of senior product design engineer, allegedly transferred thousands of internal documents to his personal cloud storage during his final days with the company. Apple contends that Liu Di's actions amount to the theft of trade secrets.
