Engineers at the JSK Robotics Laboratory at the University of Tokyo have crafted a drone that embodies these mythical creatures, aptly named the "Dual-Rotor Embedded Multi-Linkage Robot with Multi-Degree-of-Freedom Aerial Transformation Ability," or simply, DRAGON.
