For the first time, Google has unveiled its official online store in India, offering direct sales of hardware products including Pixel phones, watches, and headphones. The company also has plans to open its first physical store, a move inspired by Apple's retail strategy to enhance product visibility and sales. Currently, Google primarily relies on authorized retailers and the Flipkart e-commerce platform for its sales in India. Apple, which already boasts an official website for direct sales and operates physical stores in the country, dominates the high-end mobile phone market. Despite being priced lower than iPhones, Pixel phones hold a significantly smaller market share compared to Apple. To capitalize on India's rapidly growing smartphone market, which boasts 712 million users, Google has commenced local production of Pixel smartphones.
