Microsoft has unveiled its latest offerings, the 12-inch Surface Pro and the 13-inch Surface Laptop. A significant change for European consumers is that these models will no longer include a power adapter as standard, instead shipping solely with a USB-C cable. Customers will have to purchase a 45W or 65W power adapter separately, priced at €59 and €89, respectively. Microsoft cites the European Union's initiative to minimize electronic waste as the rationale behind this decision. However, some media outlets have speculated that this could also be a strategy for Microsoft to reduce costs and boost profits. In contrast, the Chinese market scenario differs: the new 12-inch Surface Pro does not come with a power supply and must be purchased separately, whereas the 13-inch Surface Laptop includes a 45W power adapter.
