On May 4, the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces launched their inaugural drone attack on Port Sudan, deploying suicide drones to strike air bases, warehouses, and civilian infrastructure. The Sudan Armed Forces successfully intercepted several of these drones, mitigating the damage to a manageable level and ensuring no casualties were reported. Consequently, flights at Port Sudan Airport were temporarily suspended.
