According to the latest market monitoring by Counterpoint Research, global smartphone shipments in the third quarter of 2026 fell 19% year-on-year, while revenue rose 3% year-on-year to US$114 billion. The increase in average selling price (ASP) offset the impact of the shipment decline. Premiumization trends, an improved product mix, and storage-driven price increases across all price bands pushed the global ASP up 27% year-on-year to US$442, setting a new quarterly record.
