Apple plans to launch a second-generation touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro next year, expected to feature M7 Pro and M7 Max chips, introducing new AI hardware capabilities and delivering improvements in both performance and AI functionality. The first-generation touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro, equipped with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips launched this year, features a thinner and lighter design, an optimized thermal management and cooling system, and support for standard touch operations—though the screen cannot be folded into a tablet form factor, nor does it support Apple Pencil. This product brings OLED displays, touch input, and the Dynamic Island interface to the MacBook Pro lineup for the first time. In addition, Apple plans to release an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M7 chip, adopting the thinner body and narrower bezel design of higher-end models. Apple's strategy is aimed at strengthening the connection between the Mac and iPad user experience rather than merging the two product categories: touch input allows iPhone and iPad users to interact using familiar methods, while OLED screens can enhance color and contrast performance on a larger scale. Apple has not yet announced the specific AI support features of the M7 series chips.
