John Ternus, who succeeded Cook as Apple CEO in September, will host his first earnings call on Monday. The first foldable phone, the smart home hub device, and the first batch of touchscreen laptops launched under his leadership all began shipping in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The call will focus on three key questions: the holiday quarter outlook, Ternus's comments on artificial intelligence and the upgraded Siri, and rising memory chip costs. Analysts expect rising memory chip costs to drag Apple's quarterly profit growth to its lowest level in six quarters. Apple's fiscal fourth-quarter revenue is projected to grow nearly 11% to $113.39 billion, with net profit up about 6% to $29.04 billion. Services revenue is expected to grow nearly 10% to $31.56 billion—the slowest growth in more than three years—while iPhone sales are forecast to rise about 15% to $56.54 billion, below the roughly 22% increase in the prior three months.
