Following the release of Apple's inaugural foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, a multitude of users have voiced their grievances. A number of early users have reported that cracks started to emerge at the hinge of the inner screen merely hours or days after they received their new devices and engaged in a few rounds of normal opening and closing. In some cases, screen damage occurred even without any drops or impacts.
Some users have also run into issues like screen display glitches, stuttering during the unfolding process, bulging or loose components beneath the screen, inner screens that are rendered unusable, and false touch detections.
When it comes to after-sales service, it is quite challenging to determine whether the damage was not caused by human factors. Moreover, without AppleCare+ (AC+), the repair costs can soar to nearly 8,000 yuan.
Furthermore, the device has its fair share of drawbacks, such as an awkward aspect ratio for the outer screen, incomplete adaptation of apps, significant overheating issues, and the omission of the telephoto lens.
