According to the latest forecast by market research firm Counterpoint Research, the Mini-LED notebook display panel market is set to shrink rapidly as Apple plans to adopt OLED display technology in the MacBook Pro. Data indicates that from 2025 to 2027, the annual shipments of Mini-LED notebook panels are expected to decline by approximately 75% cumulatively, with a 38% drop in 2026 and a further 60% decrease in 2027. In contrast, OLED notebook panel shipments are projected to grow by 50% in 2026 and an additional 24% in 2027. This shift is primarily driven by OLED's advantages in device thickness, display performance, and cost competitiveness, prompting manufacturers to accelerate its adoption.
