Amid reports of iPhone prices dipping below their initial launch levels in certain sales channels, Apple's official customer service provided clarification on the 26th. They emphasized that the return and exchange policies implemented by third-party vendors might not align with those offered on Apple's official website. Apple stands by its official policy of facilitating no-questions-asked returns and exchanges within a 14-day window, and it underscores that prices on its official platform remain more consistent.
The fluctuation in prices on third-party platforms, Apple explained, could stem from various factors. These include platform subsidies, store-specific promotions, or an imbalance between a high supply of devices and a relatively lower demand from buyers, prompting vendors to adjust their pricing strategies.
Furthermore, the customer service team noted that while some customer orders indicate extended waiting periods, the actual delivery times might be shorter than anticipated. This could occur due to an uptick in production capacity or instances where customers earlier in the queue decide to cancel their orders. Notably, a significant number of customers have already opted to cancel their pre-orders.
