Based on an examination of publicly accessible trademark records conducted by the technology media outlet MacRumors, it appears that Apple, through a front company called Home Services LLC, may have submitted an application for the 'HomeView' trademark in the United States and several other nations in March 2025. The international application has a priority date that traces back to the original submission in Liechtenstein in September 2024. Concurrently, another front company, Home Operations Suite LLC, has also filed for the homeOS trademark, which is similarly believed to be associated with Apple. Apple is set to host a 'Welcome Home' event on October 13, where it will introduce a new smart home hub that combines the functionalities of the HomePod and iPad. The product might be christened HomePad, but both the final name and whether the operating system will be branded as homeOS are yet to be disclosed.
