Huawei has unveiled the details of a roundtable conversation between Yu Chengdong and international media outlets, shedding light on the latest strides in Huawei's consumer business sector and the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Yu Chengdong remarked that since 2019, Huawei's terminal business unit, in a bid to ensure its survival, has forged partnerships with domestic supply chains and constructed an autonomous system grounded in local technologies. In 2023, Huawei reinstated the domestic production of smartphone chips and has, at this point, largely extricated itself from reliance on U.S. technology. Citing the Mate 90 series as an illustration, this lineup is outfitted with the cutting-edge Kirin 9050 Pro chip, which harnesses logic stacking technology. The device's overall performance has witnessed a 31% enhancement compared to its predecessor, and an increasing number of models will be integrated with such chips moving forward.
