Several weeks following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series, a number of users have taken to social media to report the emergence of light-colored or pinkish discoloration around the camera areas of the burgundy-colored models. Similar discoloration issues have also been noted on the black models. Some users have posted images depicting a faint pinkish hue encircling the three lenses of the burgundy iPhone. At present, there is no concrete evidence to indicate that this is a prevalent problem, nor has it been verified whether these marks stem from actual surface discoloration or are merely visual discrepancies caused by factors such as oil residue.

In addition to the discoloration issue, users have also reported a range of other problems, including paint peeling, scratches on the device surface, system crashes, subpar imaging performance, inconsistent body gaps, dust accumulation inside the device, and audio irregularities.
